Barchester’s Charitable Foundation Make BIG Difference We would like to thank the Barchester’s Charitable Foundation for funding a canal cruise for our Young at Heart group clients this August. Clients and young volunteers from our SAY #iwill project will cruise along the Leeds Liverpool canal whilst taking in delightful scenery and enjoying some delicious food. We hope this intergenerational activity will encourage people of different age groups to engage and support each other in a lovely environment.
No Limits! Project Gets Underway The No Limits! project, funded by Bradford Council, got underway last month when SAY #iwill volunteers from the Sedbergh Centre visited project partners, Forget me not for a fun film night when they watched The Boss Baby on the big screen. At the end of the month, Forget me not clients visited our centre for a games night. This coming month’s activities include a Music Jam Night and a Potted Sports Session. If you would like to get involved as a Buddy Volunteer for this project then please contact Arnie at the Sedbergh Centre on 01274 679843.
Good Citizens Awarded Certificates Good Citizen Certificates were awarded to young volunteers last month for their contribution to our Great Get Together and Activity Leaflet campaigns as part of the SAY #iwill project. As well as giving something back to the community, our volunteers learn valuable skills to help them in life and their careers.
