M&S Make Every Moment Special  Marks and Spencer, Birstall staff was onsite last month to help upgrade our Active Play area. The lovely team painted and stained the climbing areas which had started to look a bit faded and built a jazzy walkway. They also built three sensory seating areas and contributed to the costs of the project. Thank you very much M&S! We hope to invite the team back later this year to join in with an intergenerational event where members of the local community will be invited to help fill the planters with sensory plants. The two benches and plants are funded by the Sir George Martin Trust.

Barchester’s Charitable Foundation Make BIG Difference  We would like to thank the Barchester’s Charitable Foundation for funding a canal cruise for our Young at Heart group clients this August. Clients and young volunteers from our SAY #iwill project will cruise along the Leeds Liverpool canal whilst taking in delightful scenery and enjoying some delicious food. We hope this intergenerational activity will encourage people of different age groups to engage and support each other in a lovely environment.
