No Limits! for Sedbergh

We are delighted to announce that the Sedbergh Centre team will partner up with Forget-me-not Children’s Hospice over the next year to provide a range of stimulating activities for young people with life-limiting illnesses and their siblings. These monthly sessions will include activities such as archery, table tennis, arts and crafts which will aim to get young people away from the hospice environment to try things that they would not usually attempt. We hope to provide buddy volunteers through our Social Action Youth group. Funding from Bradford Council’s Youth Work Grants has made this project possible.
Free Sports for Disabled Young People
Sport Works will run free sessions for young people (aged 8-19) with disabilities and additional needs to enjoy a variety of sports, enabling them to develop their independence and social skills. The sessions will take place over Easter on Thursday 5th & 12th of April between 10.00 to 4.00 p.m. at the Sedbergh Centre. Contact Holly on 07851 062 880 or holly@sportworksltd.co.uk for details.

Graphic Design Workshop
The Sedbergh Centre partnered up with Bradford College last month when tutors and students at the college taught our young clients new skills in graphic design. Young people from the SAY #iwill project took part and volunteered to produce some new signs for the Sedbergh Centre Drop-in Café which will go on display after Easter. Thank you to Go Higher West Yorkshire for arranging this session and to everyone at Bradford College.
