New Weekly Lunch Club

The Sedbergh Centre is pleased to introduce a new lunch club every Wednesday from 12 noon - 1.00 p.m. until the end of March.

Funded by Bradford & District WHHP and aptly named the Cold Hands, Warm Heart project, we’ll provide low cost healthy lunches & social get-togethers with additional support and resources to help people tackle the colder weather.

We can help with Warm Home Discount Scheme applications and refer people for home visits to help with:

Saving energy & practical help (draft proofing/light bulbs)
Advice on getting insulation, boilers or heating systems
Independent advice on changing energy tariffs
Help with energy bills & fuel debt
Help with using energy controls

Please contact Lucy on 01274 679843 if you need help with transport costs.

Creative Days!
Last month we had several successful Creative Day sessions at our Youth Club and Parent & Toddler groups. The children took part in a number of activities including painting, box building, handprint collages, Lego building, sand/Play Doh activities and making giant board games.

The project was so successful we are running some more sessions this month along the theme of SPACE. To help with this we are asking for donations of kitchen roll tubes, tin foil tubes, empty pop bottles and Pringle cannisters. Please keep your eyes on our notice boards, social media and websites for the next dates.

Carers’  Enjoy Flower Day
Here at the Sedbergh Centre we hold a monthly Carers’ Café when people come together for respite & activities. Last month our lovely clients enjoyed a floral theme and took part in games, quizzes, flower arranging and a raffle. The Carer’s Café takes place once per month and is FREE for those who care for others or who have been a Carer in the past. Please come along and join in the fun – food and drinks included.

Mackenzie Stuart Sensory Project
Leading Global Executive Search and Selection Firm, Mackenzie Stuart and Participate Projects came together last month to improve outdoor and indoor spaces at our centre. Together the energetic team painted indoor areas, cleared up outdoor areas and put together a brilliant new sensory seating area right next to our cycle track. The hard work the volunteers from the Leeds branch of the Mackenzie Stuart firm put in was admirable. Thank you very much!
