Sedbergh Boxers’ Amazing Medal Win

Congratulations to our Sedbergh boxers who achieved a fantastic result with 5 gold medals, 2 silver medals and Best Junior Boxer title at last month’s international tournament in Copenhagen.
John Dugdale, aged 12, earned Best Junior Boxer as he was picked out of 100 other boxers to win this brilliant award.
The Sedbergh boxers competed against Sweden, Iceland, Greece and Holland. Well done lads!
Provident Easter Egg Gifts
Sedbergh Centre clients were thrilled to receive some yummy chocolate eggs last month as a generous Easter gift. The Sedbergh Centre and clients would like to say a BIG thank you to Provident Financial who has been more than generous with their support over the last 7 years.
Bradford Council Supports Sedbergh
We are very pleased to announce that Bradford Council has funded our Carers Café for another year. The café is there to support carers and to give them respite with monthly activities, support, advice and pamper sessions in a lovely social setting. The café is totally free and includes refreshments and snacks. Our next café is on Wednesday 20th April from 10:30 – 12:30.
Deputy Lord Mayor Opens MUGA
We had a special visitor on the 30th March when the Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Abid Hussain, visited the Sedbergh Centre to open our brand new play area. The old tennis court has been fitted with a new games area that can be used to play football, basketball, cricket and other sports. It was funded by Veolia Environmental Trust and the centre trustees and staff would like to extend their thanks and hope it will encourage young people and the community to become more involved in some free sport activities.
