Summer Fun at Sedbergh

Summer Scheme

The Safety First Activity Scheme is now in full flow and will run until Friday 19th August. This Ofsted registered scheme runs annually at the Sedbergh Centre and is always exceptionally popular so it’s a good idea to book early. Lots of children between 5 – 11 years or up to age 18 years if a disability or learning difficulty is present will enjoy many different fun activities. Some of the centre’s usual sessions have been closed while the scheme is running and re-opening details can be found in the ‘What’s On’ column opposite.

Beach Party

July was a fun month at the Sedbergh Centre when we celebrated with a beach party at our sessions including the Carers’cafĂ©, Young at Heart group and Parent & Toddlers. Our clients had mocktails, Knickerbocker Glories and took part in some games, crafts and activities. Our toddlers played on the beach, decorated biscuits and enjoyed a picnic before breaking up for the summer!

Summer Fayre

Our Summer Fayre on the 16th July went really well and we raised a whopping £961 for the centre so we can continue to provide the services and resources you, our local community enjoy. As a registered charity every penny does count and we appreciate all the help, support and donations from our volunteers and sponsors.
On the day we had a number of stalls selling summer goodies and had plenty of activities that lots of people enjoyed. Our bumper raffle was drawn at the end of the event and we still have two unclaimed prizes for winning ticket numbers 69 and 97.
