Come & join us Come & join us at the Sedbergh Centre on Thursday 21st April & help us do some restoration work at our centre. We are looking for volunteers to work alongside us & the Spark Something Good team from M&S Pudsey to help transform our outdoor area and paint some offices inside the building. Congratulations
to our Sedbergh boxers who achieved a fantastic result with 5 gold medals, 2
silver medals and Best Junior Boxer title at last month’s international
tournament in Copenhagen.
John
Dugdale, aged 12, earned Best Junior Boxer as he was picked out of 100 other
boxers to win this brilliant award.
The
Sedbergh boxers competed against Sweden, Iceland, Greece and Holland. Well done lads!
Provident Easter Egg Gifts
Sedbergh Centre clients were thrilled to receive some
yummy chocolate eggs last month as a generous Easter gift. The Sedbergh Centre
and clients would like to say a BIG
thank you to Provident Financial who has been more than generous with their
support over the last 7 years.
Bradford Council Supports
Sedbergh
We are very pleased to announce that
Bradford Council has funded our Carers Café for another year. The café is there
to support carers and to give them respite with monthly activities, support,
advice and pamper sessions in a lovely social setting. The café is totally free
and includes refreshments and snacks. Our next café is on Wednesday 20th
April from 10:30 – 12:30.

All winning entries will be published in the Sedbergh
Youth & Community Centre 2017 calendar so by entering you are giving us
publication permission. Please email entries to sedberghcommunitycentre@yahoo.co.uk by 30th April. The photos will
be judged by the Sedbergh team on originality and impact. Photos must be
current and copyright of the entrant. If the photo involves another person we
will require a photo release form from them which we can supply. All winning
photos may be published in newsletters and online.

We had a special visitor on the 30th
March when the Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Abid Hussain, visited the Sedbergh
Centre to open our brand new play area. The old tennis court has been fitted
with a new games area that can be used to play football, basketball, cricket
and other sports. It was funded by Veolia Environmental Trust and the centre
trustees and staff would like to extend their thanks and hope it will encourage
young people and the community to become more involved in some free sport
